ABOUT me

occupational therapist, certified lymphedema therapist, holistic cancer survivor

I enjoy wearing multiple hats as an occupational therapist, certified lymphedema therapist, clinical specialist and content creator. The recent addition title of “cancer survivor” is something that definitely marked my journey and who I am today, however, like many others before me, will not be the only things that shape my identity.

 I have patients after patients

WHO ARE FRUSTRATED with their medical care because their MEDICINE and TREATMENTS are not resolving their health issues.

I do believe that to achieve optimal health, we have to address our lymphatic system and our fascia because:

1.     The lymphatic system is a part of our immune, filtration, and waste system. If that system is clogged, no matter how much good we’re putting, we can’t filter it or absorb it.

2.     Tight tissue or fascia can cause many health issues - pain, lymphatic issues, movement dysfunction, and many more. Without addressing those two systems, we can’t really move forward.

This is why I will dedicate my blog and my work to bring more awareness of the lymphatics system and its connection to our overall health and wellness.

I graduated from USC with my Occupational Therapy Doctorate degree and I have been working in an outpatient clinic for a major hospital in Houston, Texas prior to transitioning to a Clinical Specialist Role at a medical device company. I love to learn and gathering tools and techniques under my belt because I believe that there is not one way that will work for everyone. That’s a recipe for a cake - not to heal a human being.

In my spare time, you can catch me eating a burger, working out on the vibe plate or doing yoga, and hanging out with friends and family. Though I’ve been a Texan for 11 years now, I’m originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, and have lived in Arkansas, California, and Texas since she moved to the US in 2003.
